The MRONY sits short of the crossing at Plainview with a rather unique power consist. A C44-9W (UP 9664) leads the train followed by a standard cab SD60 (delivered to UP in April 1986, UP 2182) and a former Espee SD40T-2 (UP 8810, ex-SP 8271). The train is on the siding waiting for both Amtrak 5 and the Ski Train to come west.
