I don't typically post photos of rail cars, but I thought this car was a reasonable exception! Built over thirty years ago, this former Rock Island boxcar clearly shows its heritage beneath its rusty exterior! The boxcar is now owned by the shortline Kyle Railroad in eastern Colorado / western Kansas. Its original Rock Island number was 300778. Email Questions or Comments to the Webmaster.
