UP's Board of Directors Special snakes its way through the glorious Byers Canyon. The train is approaching the west end of the canyon. The river is running a bit low, which is common in the fall, at the base of the canyon.

I visited Colorado this summer, but unfortunately I didn't see anything of the 1989 unit.
