Got snow? Looks like its been awhile since the siding at East Portal has been used as some snow has built up across the road crossing. A track maintainer had to clear snow from the switch points at the east end as the switch heaters couldn't keep up with the blowing snow.

Oh yeah, totally agree with Steve-- this is one of the best photos I've seen in a long time. Good job, Kev! I feel your chilliness (having been up there in similar conditions a few weeks ago).  
 
I guess those plows do occasionally get used for something!

Dang! This should go to Trains for one of their wintertime features. Because of the plow action and the way the engine is oriented in the frame, you can feel the energy of the shot!
