While Union Pacific purchased over 1,000 SD70Ms, Canadian National ordered the unit with a minor variation. This is an SD70I, which is like the SD70M, but with an EMD WhisperCab. Only 26 units were produced and all went to Canadian National. Not a bad catch for the middle of Colorado!

It's the seam behind the nose that is the main giveaway (aside from it being CN) for a "Whisper-Cab." As far as I know, it isn't *that* quiet, although it's not as loud as most.
