Union Station doesn't typically get this busy anymore! Almost like the good old days in the 1950's when dozens of passengers trains came through daily. From left to right, a spare P42DC sits on a stub track. The eastbound Zephyr (running 14 hours late) sits on Track 1. The westbound Zephyr (running 2 hours late) sits on Track 2. UP power that had run on the point of the eastbound Zephyr were pulled off and placed on Track 3.

Very nicely done Kevin. I was on I-25 Sat. morning heading out to help with 346 and Santa in Golden. Wish I would have known to jump over to Union Station and get some very unique pics.

nice shots of the "prospector" lately amtrak usually holds a train out when they are both there at the same time. I dread the upcoming reworking of the station, so this shot will be hard to duplicate. You may have had a chance to get the Brush depot shot, then sprint out east, but CSP may have ended up giving you a coupon.
