At the south edge of Louisville, 96th Street crosses over the Front Range Sub. This is a relatively new overpass, constructed to eliminate the need for cars to cross the tracks at a grade crossing. Here, the Longmont Turn is on the move with a GP39V on the point. The GP39V was rebuilt by VMV Paducahbilt from a GP35.

Kevin:

I really enjoy your rail photography and the beautiful
Colorado scenery. Its been many years since my family and my future wife have been over Monarch Pass in a July on the way to Dugway, Utah and later in '96 over Donner Pass on Amtak. Thanks for sharing your pictures of the western rail operations. Would love to get back out to God's Country some day once again.
