After departing Byers Canyon westbound, trains have a chance to "stretch their wheels" for a bit and pick up some speed. For a ten mile stretch, freights can run up to 60 MPH! The westbound MNYRO is doing its best to reach that goal here in the town of Parshall, CO about a mile east of Flat. Note the super-elevated curve the boxcars are coming around in the distance.

What the HECK is up with the twin UP shields on that ex-SP AC4400??? Somebody being a little over-zealous in the shop? Funny!
