The westbound Zephyr is doing its best to make up for lost time as it hustles past the west switch of Cliff. Due to extreme weather conditions throughout the midwest, the Zephyr is running 4 1/2 hours late today.

I was wondering if that person standing out in the cold was you, I was on that train. One hour 49 minutes late into Denver. Boarded the train at 10:15,then a two hour delay while ice was chipped out from around the brakes on the dinning car. Crawled through Byers and Gore canyons. Waited at Dotsero while #6 followed a snow plow through Glenwood canyon because of snow slides. Then we followed the same plow to Glenwood. Arrived in Grand Junction at 11:20pm. Glad the food was great and the seats comfortable.....
