UP 1983 leads an eastbound blade train east of the town of Deer Trail on the KP (Kansas Pacific) line. With the downturn in coal, things have really slowed down on the KP. As few as 1 or 2 trains per 24-hour period is not uncommon! This train was able to run from Byers, CO to Sharon Springs, KS without any meets. Email Questions or Comments to the Webmaster.
