Hard to believe that the GE "Evolution Series" engine (in all its various forms) has been around for nearly 15 years now. And man has it proven to be a popular model! GE has produced of 4,000 units just for BNSF and UP alone! More than 7,000 units have been produced for all North American railroads combined.
