That's a lot of autoracks! Union Pacific has made the decision to no longer us the KP as a through route. Due to the current downturn in the economy, a lot of cars are heading for storage. The siding at Byers has a string of autoracks stored in it. Agate has spine cars stored, and Buick has well cars stored. The cars on this train will be stored on the main at Jim, between Cheyenne Wells and Sharon Springs. The only trains the KP will see for the foreseeable future will be the Limon Local and an occasional grain shuttle to either Byers or Cheyenne Wells.
