It is a chilly, snowy....summer day!? Leave it Colorado to come up with crazy weather. In a 16 hour period earlier this week, the temperature dropped from 95F to 32F. Several inches of snow fell when there are still nearly two weeks left in summer. Not even fall yet and you get a unique scene like this. AMTK 145, the Phase III Heritage Unit, leads the Zephyr west out of Tunnel 1 toward Plain.
