There is a spot not far east of Range on the Dotsero Cutoff where the Colorado River makes a wide 180 curve. Colorado River Road follows the river the long way around, but the tracks take a shortcut, crossing the river twice in less than a mile. Here, at the west crossing, we find the Zephyr passing through a fantastic fall scene.
