Tuesday, January 22, 2008 - Just got word that DRGW 5371 - the last remaining active Rio Grande unit on UP's roster - is headed for Denver. The MRONY-21 picked up the Tunnel Motor this morning in Helper and last report had the train past Green River, UT around 2:15pm MT.
Sounds like there is a good consist leading up the MRONY. Two SD70Ms, a C40-8, an SD60M, 5371 (fifth unit), an upatched Espee AC4400CW, and an SD9043MAC.
Current estimates have the train arriving in North Yard sometime tomorrow afternoon between 2pm and 3pm. Take that with a grain of salt, of course, because it is always subject to change!
