Monday, April 14, 2008 - The sole-remaining (active) DD40AX, UP 6936, is coming through Denver tomorrow (Monday, April 14th) on a passenger special that has been touring the entire UP system.
The train ran today (Sunday, April 13th) from Pocatello, ID to Grand Junction, CO, arriving in Grand Junction very late - about 20 minutes before this post, shortly after midnight. The train is scheduled to be called at 05:00 tomorrow morning at Grand Junction for the next leg of the trek east to Sharon Springs, KS. Current estimates have the train coming through the Denver area between 12:45pm and 1:45pm. That is of course subject to a LOT of change!
