A pair of manned SD70ACes help shove on the back of this eastbound coal train as it leaves the Valley Sub behind and starts on the climb up the Angora Sub toward Alliance. The sole DPU on this train is an SD70MAC. A bit of a special catch these days as the majority of SD70MACs are currently in storage around BNSF's system.

A pair of SD70ACes swing around a leg of the wye at Northport from the Angora Sub to the Valley Sub. There is a loaded coal train that needs manned helpers to assist in the 30 mile trip (climb) from Bridgeport to Alliance.

A rather interesting view looking straight down on the diamond in Bridgeport, NE where the BNSF Angora Sub (single track) crosses over the UP South Morrill Sub (two tracks). The two tracks to the right are transfer tracks between the UP and BNSF.

Bridgeport, NE is the location of a lot of railroad action most days! BNSF's Valley Sub joins in with the Angora Sub here. A wye allows trains coming off the Valley Sub to turn north toward Alliance or south toward Colorado and the Brush Sub. In addition, UP's two main track South Morrill Sub cuts through the scene, crossing the Angora Sub on a diamond. In this shot, a UP coal empty heading for the Powder River Basin (in the foreground) heads west as a BNSF coal empty, also heading or the Powder River Basin (in the background) heads west as well.

There is a fairly substantial car maintenance facility located in Bridgeport, NE. The facility is owned and operated by Progress Rail. It connects with UP's South Morrill Sub on one side and BNSF's Valley Sub on the other, offering services for either railroad. As you can see, open hoppers are the primary thing maintained at this facility.
