It crossed the Belt Main and entered the Main Track at CP DS002. After pulling down to Fox Junction, the crew on the train was ready to depart south on the Joint Line for Fort Carson. But BNSF wasn't ready for the train! With Amtrak coming, the train had to make a reverse move to get in the clear in the North Yard Siding. While the SD70MACs certainly haven't disappeared completed, ES44ACs and SD70ACes have become far more prevalent. Here, a northbound (about to turn eastbound) coal empty is pulling through the yard. This is a GP10 of Illinois Central vintage. More recently, this little unit has served as one of two units on the Hollis Eastern. A railroad in southwestern Oklahoma that has about 13 miles of track total. I don't know why 50% of their motive power was in Denver on this day. However, this former GP30 is looking pretty sharp in the New Image scheme. It is a GP30 in appearance only. It has in fact been rebuilt into a GP39-2M.
