An empty grain train crests a hill a few miles east of Medicine Bow. This was just about the only sunlight we had during the course of the entire day!

As you may have guessed, this shot isn't quite as treacherous as it might appear! The train was stopped at the old depot in Medicine Bow, allowing photographers to get shots from different angles.

At Medicine Bow (about 80 miles west of Laramie), a stop is made at the old depot. While the crew takes advantage and lubes up the rods a bit, it appeared this stop was mainly ceremonial. An opportunity for some pictures to be snapped.
