Coal trains coming from or headed to mines in Western Colorado, during the height of coal, would run on the Limon Sub. These days, the eastern mainline has all but been deserted. The Limon Local makes periodic trips from Denver to Limon. There is an occasional oil train, but most of the UP oil trains run on the Overland. There's also a grain train from time-to-time, but otherwise, not much runs out here. You could easily spend an entire day trackside and not see anything moving.
