Even though Soldier Summit has two main tracks, sidings are still occasionally necessary. If nothing else, two of them can serve as crossover between the two mains as they are "center sidings", located between the two main tracks. Kyune is the first of the sidings when heading west. The Mountaineer throttles up as the max speed increases from 30 MPH to 35 MPH. Note the very interesting signal protecting the siding. The train is already in a very long OS for the east switch of Kyune. The signals for the center-siding are located on the opposite side of Kyune Tunnels.
