If you look closely, you can see a yellow-over-red signal in the distance. That is the current east end of the siding, some 9,300 feet away! Yep, the siding is about to grow by 9,300 feet. Multiple sidings are being lengthened and the siding of Hudson is no exception! The siding will go from being roughly 6,200 feet long to over 15,000 feet long! There have been rumors that BNSF would like to (eventually) add a second main track along the entire Brush Sub. One wonders if there will be a crossover in the middle of the siding?
