The train has a track warrant that will take it all the way back to Denver. A northbound BNSF Denver-Laurel manifest is in the siding at Broomfield, waiting for the special to arrive before continuing north. The move is part of some early steps to try to bring Amtrak intercity trains along the Front Range in Colorado. There are two bridges that cross Arapahoe Road here, due to a widening of the road several years ago.
