The train is stopped and tied down just east of Lamar Street, awaiting a crew to take it the rest of the way to Golden. Note the heavy construction also happening in the area. One of the voter-approved commuter lines (the "Gold Line") will run parallel to the BNSF Golden Sub through Arvada out to Wheat Ridge. Voters approved the construction of the line (as well as several others) in 2004. It will be another two years before commuter trains are running here, as the line is scheduled to open in 2016. But the train was not yet ready to head west all the way to Golden. Instead, a crew brought the train as far as Lamar Street, where it was tied down. Lamar Street (as you can tell from this shot) is currently closed as construction progresses on the new Gold Line commuter tracks, set to open in 2016.
