One way it does this (from time-to-time) is by running an Employee Appreciation Special. A string of BNSF-owned passenger cars were put together and power placed on either end of the train. Two times (at 1pm and 6pm) on June 4th, the train departed Denver and ran north to Boulder on the Front Range Sub. After a brief stop in Boulder, the train returned to Denver.
