An eastbound UP manifest is on Main 1 at Tie Siding. A single SD70ACe leads the train, which is just a few thousand feet away from Hermosa Tunnel. As you can see, quite a few people are starting to gather to witness the westbound run of UP 4014 (the Big Boy) as part of UP's celebration of the United States Semiquincentennial.

A very long eastbound manifest runs east on Main 1 at Tie Siding, with a single SD70ACe leading on the head end. As you can see, there is a green signal on Tie Siding for a westbound that will run to Laramie on Main 2.

The last shot of the day comes at Tie Siding, just west of the Hermosa Tunnel. Numerous thunderstorms have been rolling through the area and, indeed, it is raining right now as this eastbound passes under the signal bridge at Hermosa Road.

UP 4014 is on a westbound special on Main 1 at Tie Siding. There is no diesel helper on this trip as it was allegedly bad ordered in Cheyenne. The train has three passenger cars, five box cars, seven covered hoppers, and a bay side caboose.

One company that UP ships a lot of container traffic for is Ocean Network Express, or ONE. Their pink containers certainly stand out, and it is interesting just seeing the color pink on a train! Such is the case with this westbound two mile long double stack train between Hermosa Tunnel and Tie Siding.
