HHP-8 found on the Northeast Corridor. These are the units that can get trains up to 120+ MPH out there between Washington DC and Philadelphia. The unit went down to Pueblo to the Transportation Technology Center for testing. On this evening, the unit was waiting to be added to the eastbound California Zephyr to be taken back east. The inbound crew, which brought the train in from Lincoln, NE is switching out with the outbound crew, which will take the train to Grand Junction, CO. The second unit is in the process of receiving fuel and passenger are disembarking/boarding on the opposite side of the train. Within the next few years, this shot may be impossible if the tracks here are buried as has been reported for the Union Station redevelopment project. Close to three hours of slow orders in between Reno, NV and Salt Lake City, UT currently cause Number 6 to regularly run anywhere between three and six hours late by the time they reach Denver.
