AMTK 184 is on the California Zephyr and wears the Phase 4 Heritage scheme. This is an adaptation of the relatively short-lived Phase 4 paint scheme that Amtrak used for about six years between 1999 and 2005. AMTK 156 wears the Phase 1 Heritage scheme. This is an adaptation of the "Bloody Nose" or "Pointless Arrow" scheme. This was the first official scheme that Amtrak had, and was used for about ten years, from 1971 to 1981.
