The slopes at Winter Park are roughly cut in half by the low-level clouds hanging around in Fraser Valley. As the skiers enjoy their day at the resort, the Ski Train (with the Kansas on the rear) sits at Fraser while waiting for the return trip which should begin around 3:15pm.

Very good shot as well as all of them. I am from that area and the shot of the mountains in the background I use to ski all the time every winter. I will be station at Ft Carson and looking forward to reunite with the mountains and the rails that climb . Use to watch DRGW all over the winter park / Fraser area of grand county. I grew up on the vazquez road which is my favorite spot to watch trains

This is a great shot, very emotional. It makes you feel like the train is leaving you. Makes me feel all lonely. But such a beautiful shot.
