High winds (for the third straight day) have created some snow drifts along the tracks. The tracks just west of the grade crossing at Blue Mountain are at the base of a hill. Snow blows right off the hill and onto the tracks. No problem though. UP 1989 relocates one of the drifts on the point of the Ski Train.

Great action shot. I like how you can't see the "UP" lettering on the number board of the lead engine. It's almost as if the Rio Grande still lives!!

What a beautiful picture. Reminds me of watch the DRGW on the Yampa line back in the late 80's. Thank you for getting these great pictures.
