Nothing like sunflowers and sunrises (and trains, of course). Just before 8am on this September morning, an eastbound coal load has clear signals at Chemical. Within the next five to ten years, this location could change quite dramatically as there is talk of completing the "470" highway loop around Denver. The plans call for the highway to cross the tracks right around this location.

TME, I agree regarding the old side-by-side intermediate signals here at Chemical. I grew up with those things! One of the reasons I decided not to include the new intermediate in this shot.

Well it is a little unique with 3 units up front. Nice flower action but I miss the old side by side signals there at Chemical.

This is a great shot. Good composition and exposure. The C&NW unit doesn't hurt either.
