BNSF's Raton Subdivision between Trinidad, CO and La Junta, CO uses track warrants along with ABS (Automatic Block Signals). In ABS territory, signals are used for block detection only and do NOT grant authority. In the case of the east end of the siding of Hoehne, both signals show clear as there is nothing approaching from the east. In ABS, all signals essentially act as intermediates in CTC.
