RailPower Inc is a relatively new company that produces very low emission engines. UPY 2622 is designated as an RP20GE. The unit is build on the frame of an [EMD] GP9. It uses electrical components from General Electric, and uses three 500 kW (low emission) diesel engines. The unit is capable of producing the equivalent of 2000 HP. As of this shot, UP currently has 98 units on their roster, most of which are in California and Texas.

GREAT LOOKING MOTOR I GOT A GLIMPS OF THIS SWTCHER DOWNTOWN DURING THE D N C IN FACT THE DEPOT HAD A FEW TRAINS HERE DURING THE CONVENTION I KNOW THE SKI TRAIN DIDNT HAVE A LOT OF ROOM AFTER IT CAME IN SO THEY UNLOADED THE SKITRAIN AND THAN MOVED IT OUT TO Y THE TRAIN YOU DONT SEE MANY SWITCH ENGINES OUTSIDE THE YARD MUCH ANYMORE
