September is definitely upon us! It is just a bit past 6:00pm and the sun is getting pretty low in the western sky. The train still has a long journey ahead of it as it is headed for Metropolis, IL. However, it will take a break in Denver on the Belt Bypass tracks. There, its swing helpers will be cut out and the train will wait for a new crew which will take it east on the Limon Sub.
