An eastbound coal load is approaching UP Junction at the end of the Belt Line. The train has a lunar signal and will continue at restricted speed toward the Limon Sub.

Joe, you are absolutely correct regarding UP's plans! In fact, I have heard that they hope to add a second main track out to Sandown to help keep train rolling. Will sure move trains faster between North Yard and the Limon Sub!

The switch they are rolling over was old Airline Jct. where the Rock Island line from Sandown Jct. joined the belt line for the trip to North Yard. Now it is where DRI enters the Bolt Line on trackage rights to switch the North Washington Industrial Spur that joins the Belt at Washington St. I think UP has plains to restablish this line as a way east for trains from Noth Yard and the Moffat rather than travel to the "Y" at Pullman. They own the Red Coach Motel on Quebec that would have to be demoed reestablish the forer route to Sandown.
