For the second time since it was unveiled in July 2005, the Western Pacific Heritage Unit visits Denver! The unit arrived after midnight the night before on the MRONY. The unit is having issues loading and will probably hang around Denver for a few days.

Jim, they repainted the sanding towers (much to my disappointment) last August before the special that run with UP 1995 and UP 1989 in September. I'm not sure if I have a good side shot of them, but I'll look for ya. UP 1983 is definitely amongst my favorite of the six units.

Huh! They repainted the sand towers! User to be green. (I don't suppose you have a good side-view shot of them, do you? :-)  
 
I like this unit, nice utilitarian paint scheme, yet with a touch of class.
