UP 844 is approaching its first scheduled stop on its tour to south Texas. The train will stop in Lodgepole so the crew can grease up the steam engine. The drive rods create a lot of friction and need to stay well-lubricated.

Let's see now... Side rods down- smoke/steam to the backside- shiny black paint unspoiled- perfect pacing angle, perfect blur on the ground- no shadows to hide anything... Kevin, my friend, this is one of the best pictures I've ever seen. Congratulations.
