This is a picture that I've been wanting to try to get for awhile and the opportunity finally presented itself! A westbound coal empty wraps through the S-Curves at the base of Coal Creek on its journey west. The east end of Leyden is directly above the flag on the lead unit. You can see the tower that is near the west end of Leyden on the left side of the picture. And, in the distance, note the Cherokee Power Plant, which receives coal from Union Pacific.

Great shot Kevin! The views from the Front Range on a clear day are absolutely stunning! The tower on the left side of the photo is still a good mile to mile and a half to the west of West Leyden.
