While the tops of the trees are illuminated by the rising sun, this eastbound isn't quite in the (direct) light yet as it rounds the curve near milepost 9, through the small cut in Arvada. The Colorado Rockies have had plenty of snow lately, as evidenced by the front of UP 5904.
