This scene can only be duplicated for another two years or so from the time of this picture. UP power is working on assembling the "Public Service" coal train. One remaining generator at Xcel Energy's Cherokee Power Station in Denver is powered by coal. Two others have already been shut down and replaced by natural gas. The final generator powered by coal will make the switch to natural gas by 2017, according to Xcel. Once that happens, the Cherokee Plant will no longer be a customer of UP, eliminating (roughly) 6-8 coal trains (that counts loads and empties) from the Moffat per week.
