A westbound coal empty - the second one I've seen in two days - heads west between Leyden and Rocky on a gloomy May afternoon. Five years ago, two coal empties with an hour or two of each other would have been the norm. Oh how times have changed and two in two days is now something of a big deal! This train, like the one the day before, is headed for the West Elk Mine on the North Fork Branch.
