Traffic on the Moffat has dropped to an average of 6-8 trains in any given 24 hour period. This Friday was an exception as a total of 13 trains ran through the Moffat Tunnel. Three of them are visible right here in this shot! An eastbound Lincoln to Provo manifest sits int he siding at Rocky, having just received a relief crew out of Denver. Gotta love the single box car cut in the otherwise-perfect unit tank train! A westbound BNSF Denver to Provo is visible in the siding at Eisele, meeting an eastbound coal load which is on the main.
