At the start of the winter season, Colorado's snowpack was around 75% of the average. Since then, enough snow has fallen that the snowpack is now up to 150% of average! With all that snow in the high country, roads have seens a lot of delays or outright closures. In order to get crews to and from trains in the Colorado high country, UP uses a "Snow Bus". This is typically a caboose sandwiched by two units. On this particularly day, there are three units on this Snow Bus, which is headed back toward North Yard.
