Ever wonder how rail is transported from the mill to its destination? This is it! A train allows rail to be stacked 10 wide and 5 high, for a total of 50 strips of rail. With each strip roughly 1/4 mile long, that means the train has 12 1/2 miles of rail. Of course, there are two rails to make up the tracks, so that is 6 1/4 miles of track on this train. That is enough to replace all the rail in the Moffat Tunnel.
