After a major dropoff in coal loadings in western Colorado, there has been a bit of a rebound in the summer of 2017. While coal traffic is nothing like it was ten years earlier, coal trains are showing up several a week. During the winter prior, coal traffic was down to as few as one train every 1-2 weeks!
