Chem Spur was used to serve an oil company in western Arvada for years. Most recently, it was Mesa Oil. However, Mesa Oil recently moved to a new location, leaving the industry in Arvada abandoned. The spur has essentially been rusting for a few years now, weeds starting to overtake the rails. On this day, UP had a single piece of equipment sitting on the spur.
