I love how each of the cars from the original California Zephyr all had names. Each one was named Silver something. Not only were they all named, but the three railroads that operated the train (CB&Q, Rio Grande, and Western Pacific) gave cars of the same type similar names. For example, all of the observation cars that were found on the end of the train were given names that somehow related to great views and/or celestial things. Western Pacific had the Silver Planet and Silver Crescent. CB&Q had the Silver Solarium, Silver Horizon, Silver Penthouse, and Silver Lookout. Rio Grande had the Silver Sky.
