It is a beautiful June morning as the eastbound Zephyr approaches the west portal of Tunnel 1. Normally, "beautiful morning" and "eastbound Zephyr" would not appear in the same sentence when talking about the Front Range in Colorado. However, yesterday's Zephyr is running almost 14 1/2 hours late! The train got hung up in Utah assisting yesterday's westbound Zephyr, which had a power failure.
