Many people think of Nebraska as flat and not particularly scenic. While that is no doubt true in parts of the state, you can find some pretty scenic areas and nice curves. One curve in particular that is always worth a visit is Buttermilk Curve, just east of Brady, NE. This is 25 miles (give or take) east of North Platte along the triple track main. Here, a single DPU brings up the end of a westbound coal empty headed for the Powder River Basin.
