The engine facility at Martin was once busy every day with maintenance activity for the Utah Railway fleet. With the demise of coal, however, Utah Railway has all but abandoned everything here in Helper. The doors on the engine facility have been closed for years now, silence filling the area. The mainline is the track immediately to the left of the engine facility. I always thought it was interesting how the mainline passed right next to the building.
